Why you may want to hire someone to do this for you:
It’s really complicated if you have never done this and can seem unending and can be very overwhelming. The areas affected by dry rot are not known until you get into it. It usually requires working under the home as well. Often times when this happens to someone - it is a very emotional ordeal which means - you are going to get frustrated often, again and again.
Pro Tip:
A common place this happens is tile shower floors and the edge where the floor meets the bathtub. It sounds excessive but we suggest resealing your grout every three months. This is something you can do yourself and is much less hassle and cost than going through dry rot repair. If at any point you see any grout go missing - re-grout that area immediately because that opening becomes an entryway for water to reach the inside of your home in areas it never should.
