Why you may want to hire someone to do this for you:
A common and very frustrating issue that folks run into when installing their own cabinets is related to hanging the actual boxes on the wall. It’s critical when hanging to mount them all loosely to begin with and then connect them all as one at the end. Walls in all rooms are never flat. They will all actually have a wave, or many waves in them causing them to not be straight and there is a technique to mounting them straight and level on these imperfect surfaces. One thing we have seen in our experience is multiple attempts to hanging cabinets straight leading to stripped out, damaged cabinets. If this happens to you - I am glad to step in and help and I do not charge extra because you tried to work on the project yourself. Changing extra is a common practice in the industry that is usually a hidden cost.
Pro Tip:
Never use pull out cabinets that have plastic or vinyl sliders. These materials crack and fail shockingly fast. Always use a slide mechanism that uses bearings.
If you are swapping out your knobs and handles, this is a great way to update your cabinets but always use a wax filler in the screw holes to prevent shrinking and cracking.
